DDoS campaign makes Blender websites and developer services unavailable
Between November 18 and 23, 2023, the Blender Foundation's online infrastructure was targeted by a sustained distributed denial-of-service campaign. Malicious traffic caused intermittent outages of blender.org and subsequently made download, documentation, developer and community websites unavailable. The foundation temporarily stopped services and deployed dedicated DDoS mitigation before restoring website availability. The incident directly disrupted access to the project's software distribution and online services. No compromise of project or user data was reported.
