Cybersecurity breach forces North Muskegon Public Schools to cancel classes

North Muskegon Public Schools detected a cybersecurity incident late on November 14, 2023. The district lost telephone and internet capabilities and closed its schools on November 15 while technical personnel investigated and restored access. The incident therefore caused a documented interruption in the delivery of in-person educational services, rather than merely an internal IT outage.
