Destructive cyberattack takes Coffee Meets Bagel dating platform offline worldwide
Around 27 August 2023 an external attacker penetrated Coffee Meets Bagel systems and maliciously deleted company data and files, disrupting production servers. Users worldwide lost access to matchmaking and messaging until the dating service was restored on 3 September 2023. The company confirmed destructive activity; ransomware has not been established.
