Isaac Regional Council ransomware disables public contact services

Isaac Regional Council identified ransomware on 1 April 2023 and isolated its network. Its principal 1300 customer-service telephone line was still offline on 13 April; Queensland auditors later found council telephone connectivity was not restored until May, impairing citizen contact and administrative service delivery.
