ATAC cyberattacks interrupt ticket offices and online access
During a March 2023 cyberattack wave targeting Rome transit operator ATAC, its website and staffed ticket-office services were inaccessible on 22 March. A further denial-of-service incident was reported against ATAC on 26 March. Ticket machines and bus and metro transport operations remained in service during the documented initial outage.
