Cyber intrusion forces Lille municipal services into prolonged manual operation

A cyber intrusion detected overnight February 28-March 1, 2023 forced Lille municipal authorities to disconnect government IT. During the resulting multiweek outage, city libraries could not process book lending and returns, museum ticketing became manual, and several municipal administrative services operated with paper forms or restricted access. These effects directly impaired public service delivery.
