Cyberattack briefly restricts emergency care at CHU Saint-Pierre in Brussels

On March 11, 2023, CHU Saint-Pierre detected malicious network activity, isolated servers and switched hospital communications to paper. As a precaution the emergency department temporarily diverted ambulances to neighboring hospitals, reducing emergency patient intake. Planned operations and most medical services continued, and the disturbance was reported as short-lived.
