FONASA encryption attack disrupts public health administration

On February 17 attackers encrypted roughly 250 FONASA workstations and affected around 25 Windows servers across Chilean offices. Its principal website experienced interruptions and branch service was delayed, impairing delivery of the public health fund’s administrative services. BlackCat was reported as the attacker, but attribution rests partly on criminal claims.
