Virgin Media Television cyberattack interrupts recorded broadcasting

Following an attempted unauthorized access to its systems, Virgin Media Television disconnected some technology as a containment measure. This affected transmission of certain pre-recorded programmes on Virgin Media 3, Virgin Media 4, More and the VMTV Player, degrading the broadcaster’s core programme delivery without affecting other Virgin Media Ireland businesses.
