Dole ransomware halts fresh-vegetable production and shipments

A February 10 memo from Dole Fresh Vegetables stated that a ransomware-related shutdown affected its North American systems, temporarily stopped processing plants and held shipments to grocery retailers; shortages of packaged salads were also reported. Dole later acknowledged the ransomware incident, described its overall operational impact as limited, and reported a USD 11 million total financial effect for 2023.
