Deutsche Leasing cyberattack prevents digital activation of new leasing contracts

On June 3, 2023 Deutsche Leasing detected a cyberattack and shut down its IT environment. Sales staff could prepare new lease agreements on paper but could not enter and activate them in core systems, materially disrupting asset-finance service delivery. A subsequent September disclosure confirmed unauthorized access and stolen documents; the candidate's August date was a later leak-site listing.
