A network intrusion starting 8 July 2023 forced Delaware Kent County to take government systems offline. Websites, telephone systems and Recorder of Deeds functions were disrupted, stopping property-record submissions and creating a document backlog while employees used manual workarounds; 911 dispatch and wastewater services were not disrupted.
