Cyberattack on Farmanguinhos disrupts Revista Fitos scientific publishing for four months
On 19 August 2023 a cyberattack against Farmanguinhos/Fiocruz disabled external-facing IT services, including the Revista Fitos editorial platform. Online manuscript submission, peer review, editing and scheduled scientific publication were materially interrupted until the journal announced restoration on 20 December. The evidence supports disruption of the journal workflow, not an assertion that pharmaceutical manufacturing stopped.
