Cyberattack disrupts Yellow Pages Canada's Canada411 directory service

A cyberattack against Yellow Pages Canada was associated with a multi-day outage of its Canada411 online telephone-directory service in late March and early April 2023. Contemporary reporting connected the unavailable directory with the cyber incident, and Yellow Pages subsequently confirmed an attack and stated that substantially all services had been restored by April 24. Black Basta claimed responsibility for data theft. The established TRACE consequence is interruption of a public-facing digital directory service, not a demonstrated interruption of all Yellow Pages business services.
