Cyberattack on Macerata municipality slows citizen registry services
An overnight cyberattack around November 25, 2022, disrupted the City of Macerata's network shares, digital archives and website. By December 13, municipal registry-office staff were still limited to a single operational terminal, slowing citizen requests and creating queues. Municipal officials described ongoing network reconstruction and workstation remediation while other municipal activities continued under degraded conditions.
