Ransomware attack interrupts AIIMS Delhi hospital registration and laboratory workflows

On November 23, 2022, a ransomware attack disrupted the digital hospital systems used by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi. Outpatient and inpatient registration, appointments, laboratory reporting, billing and diagnostic-report access were affected. Hospital staff resorted to manual procedures, creating patient delays and interrupting normal clinical-administrative workflows. Restoration of digital services proceeded in phases.
