Little Rock school cyberattack disables accounting and access to student records

Little Rock School District detected a network security incident on 11 November 2022. Attackers obtained unauthorized access and demanded a ransom. The district could not perform accounting functions or access student files until its systems were restored, disrupting essential school administration. The school board authorized settlement negotiations in December; Arkansas Senate reporting later described a reported USD 250000 ransom payment. No interruption of classroom instruction was established.
