On 3 October 2022 a new multi-vector cyberattack on Colombian regulator INVIMA deployed malicious code and ransomware, encrypted information and disabled institutional systems and virtual services. The outage stopped ordinary processing of regulatory procedures and resulted in formal suspensions of administrative deadlines, with gradual restoration. This was separate from INVIMA's February 2022 incident.
