Cyberattack forces Unimed Belém to suspend digital and administrative health-plan services
Unimed Belém detected malicious cyber activity on 11 October 2022 and its operating systems became unavailable. Telemedicine, the app, beneficiary portal, call centre and online payment channels were suspended; authorizations for elective examinations and procedures shifted to in-person processing. Emergency medical care continued. RansomEXX separately claimed data theft, but that claim does not establish deployment of ransomware or confirmed exfiltration.
