Ransomware against MITCON interrupts network and communications services for partner organizations

A 20 October 2022 ransomware attack affected Midland Information Technology Consortium (MITCON), an IT provider serving 85 partner organizations, most of them nonprofits. Internet connectivity, email and telephone services for its partners required restoration; officials reported that core communications had returned by early November while some recovery work continued.
