Cyberattack closes all 23 Massy Stores supermarkets in Trinidad and suspends delivery

Massy Stores confirmed a cyberattack on April 28, 2022, that disabled checkout systems across its 23 Trinidad supermarkets and in-store pharmacies. The retailer shut those locations for the rest of April 28, suspended curbside pickup and delivery, and temporarily prevented access to payment and money-transfer services operated in stores. Stores reopened in stages on April 29 and 30, with all supermarkets open again by May 1; the loyalty-card system remained impaired longer. No specific malware type or confirmed exfiltration was established.
