Cape Cod transit ransomware forces manual Dial-a-Ride scheduling

A ransomware attack during the Memorial Day weekend of May 2022 disabled systems at the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority. Its administrator confirmed that employees had to manually record and schedule Dial-a-Ride trips because the usual digital process was unavailable. Regular fixed-route bus operations and passenger service were largely maintained; the supported operational impact is degraded reservation and dispatch workflow rather than canceled routes. The LV group claimed responsibility but was not independently attributed.
