Baker & Taylor ransomware halts library book-ordering systems for 17 days

A ransomware incident beginning during the August 20–21 weekend disabled Baker & Taylor’s Title Source 360 e-commerce portal and EDI ordering transactions. Libraries could not place or automate book-acquisition orders; the New York Public Library anticipated purchasing delays and relied on other vendors. The ordering and EDI services were restored September 7 after approximately 17 days.
