LockBit ransomware severely disrupts Centre Hospitalier Sud Francilien care and laboratory services

The Centre Hospitalier Sud Francilien was compromised overnight August 20–21 by LockBit 3.0 ransomware. Unavailable clinical IT, laboratory automation and other systems disrupted patient treatment, reduced testing capability and necessitated the transfer of neonates to other hospitals. France’s ANSSI also reported subsequent exfiltration of hospital data; a large ransom demand is not recorded as financial loss.
