Ransomware takes Mansfield ISD internet-dependent school systems offline

A ransomware incident first identified August 22 disrupted Mansfield Independent School District’s internet access, parent-and-student information systems, website, email, phones and campus visitor management. Teachers continued classroom instruction with manual workarounds while some systems were restored gradually over subsequent days and campus access for visitors remained restricted.
