Destructive cyberattack interrupts Albanian e-government public services

On July 15, 2022, Iranian state-linked actors launched destructive malware activity against Albanian government systems. Government websites and the e-Albania public-service portal were shut down, the latter as a protective measure rather than through its direct compromise, interrupting online citizen and business transactions. Most portal services were restored by July 20 and complete government restoration was reported in August.
