Ransomware locks Goa water department flood-monitoring data

By June 24, 2022, ransomware had encrypted a Goa Water Resources Department server holding readings from 15 river flood-monitoring locations and automated weather and rain gauges. Authorities reported that the stored monitoring data could not be used, impairing access to information used in the state's flood-disaster monitoring processes; no interruption of physical water supply was reported.
