Ransomware reduces Wilson Tool production capacity across international facilities

A ransomware intrusion detected on March 13, 2022 encrypted Wilson Tool systems at eight of twelve locations, including enterprise resource planning, manufacturing programming software and network resources. Production nearly stopped in the following days and subsequently ran at approximately 70% of normal capacity while staff reconstructed processes and handled customer orders manually. Recovery work affected operations in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Italy; July 25 was a breach-notification date, not the date of the operational attack.
