Cyberattack limits municipal IT-enabled services in Goleniów
Overnight on 5–6 July 2022, attackers compromised and encrypted elements of the Municipality of Goleniów office IT infrastructure. Staff lost access to some systems, and departments could not operate fully while servers and backups were being recovered. The municipality remained open and identity documents, civil registry and population records services were reportedly functioning; the impact was therefore limited to reduced service capability in other functions.
