Gorizia ransomware blocks municipal certification services
On August 29, 2022, the Municipality of Gorizia identified ransomware affecting its servers and backups, interrupting internal systems, email and parts of citizen-service processing. Municipal certification services were unavailable while many registry and vital-record services were restored through systems hosted externally; the city launched a staged program to reopen counters and rebuild workstations.
