Behavioral Health Group cyberattack prevents some patients receiving take-home medication

In early December 2021, a cyberattack forced Behavioral Health Group to isolate portions of its IT network, disrupting opioid-treatment clinics for roughly a week. Some facilities could not print mandated medication labels and therefore could not dispense patients’ customary take-home methadone or buprenorphine doses, requiring affected patients to attend clinics more frequently. Outpatient treatment did not cease network-wide.
