McMenamins ransomware disrupts hotel bookings and retail payment workflows

On 12 December 2021, ransomware compromised McMenamins servers and operational systems across its Oregon and Washington hospitality business. The chain kept physical properties open, but hotel booking systems, telephone/email communications and gift-card sales or redemption were impaired, forcing booking workarounds and delayed responses. On-site credit card processing was restored or supported through local systems.
