Brazil Health Ministry intrusion disrupts vaccination certificates and epidemiological reporting

On 10 December 2021, cyber intruders defaced Brazilian Ministry of Health websites and caused outages of ConecteSUS, vaccination-certificate issuance and other public-health information systems, including e-SUS Notifica. ConecteSUS was restored after approximately 13 days with initial instability, while the ministry said immunization records had been recovered without data loss. LAPSUS$ claimed the attack; encryption and permanent destruction were not established.
