Cyberattack disrupts Oahu Transit Services paratransit reservations and fare systems

A December 9 cyberattack disabled Oahu Transit Services servers, making TheHandi-Van reservations and dispatch schedules inaccessible and interrupting HOLO fare-card and bus information services. Staff rebooked paratransit rides and dispatched using radio and manual records; ordinary bus trips largely continued. Ransomware was suspected but not confirmed.
