Ferrara ransomware disrupts candy manufacturing and order processing

On October 9, 2021, Ferrara discovered ransomware encrypting corporate systems. Production stopped at some facilities before restarting at reduced capacity, and the company was working through an order-processing queue. Distribution centers continued shipping near capacity; Ferrara said Halloween retail stocks were largely protected because shipments had already occurred.
