East Tennessee Children’s Hospital cyber incident interrupts urgent-care imaging

On 13 March 2022, East Tennessee Children's Hospital disclosed an IT security incident. The resulting system disruption made X-ray services unavailable at its urgent care centers on 14 March and interrupted some clinical scheduling communications. The hospital continued to accept and care for patients through contingency procedures, so the verified impact was degradation of specific diagnostic and coordination services rather than a hospital-wide closure.
