Nordex cyber intrusion causes wind-turbine production and installation delays

Nordex detected an intrusion on 31 March 2022 and shut down internal IT systems across multiple locations and business units. Although the company initially reported that wind turbines in service and grid communications were unaffected, its subsequent audited 2022 annual report explicitly attributed production and turbine-installation delays during the second and third quarters partly to the cyber incident. This supports a material manufacturing and delivery-schedule impact, not a shutdown of electricity generation at customer wind farms.
