Belarusian Railway cyberattack disrupts railway traffic control and train movement

On 27 February 2022, Belarusian Cyber Partisans claimed to have compromised railway routing and switching systems and forced portions of Belarusian Railway into manual control. A former railway employee independently reported damaged train-traffic control and disrupted movements, particularly near the Minsk–Orsha junction. The group said it intended to impede Russian military transport; the exact affected volume and duration have not been independently established.
