PrivatBank DDoS interrupts Privat24, ATMs and digital banking access

On 15 February 2022, a distributed denial-of-service attack affected Ukraine’s PrivatBank. The bank reported that some ATM and self-service-terminal functions were unavailable for approximately one hour and that customers had unstable access to Privat24. Ukrainian information security officials also documented difficulties with payments, account balances and application sign-in; bank and government authorities reported service recovery that evening.
