Jameco Electronics ransomware coincides with suspended electronic-parts order processing

Jameco Electronics reported that ransomware struck on April 23, 2022, and forced protective system shutdowns. During the same late-April outage, contemporaneous customers reproduced a company website notice stating that its network was down and no orders could be processed; customers also reported delayed shipment and the inability of customer service to look up orders. The link between the publicly documented ransomware and the order-system outage is strongly contextual rather than expressly stated in the breach notice.
