Izvestiya cyberattack replaces news content and disrupts website availability
On 28 February 2022, Izvestiya publicly confirmed that its website had been hacked and could show an unauthorized anti-war message. Independent journalists also observed an outage affecting iz.ru, so its usual digital news presentation was temporarily unavailable or altered. The identity of the attackers is not independently verified.
