Deutsche Windtechnik cyberattack interrupts monitoring of wind turbines

During the night of April 11-12, 2022, Deutsche Windtechnik was attacked and isolated IT infrastructure. As a consequence, remote monitoring connections to serviced wind turbines were disconnected for one to two days and field-maintenance operations resumed by April 14 with minor restrictions. The company explicitly confirmed that turbines were never damaged or endangered and continued generating electricity; the TRACE consequence is degraded remote-monitoring and maintenance service, not halted power production.
